Curtain down on the three main Neko the Kitty storylines. I'll be running guest strips next week. In the meantime, here's an episode of BFFs!
There was another Norse religious holiday last weekend. Lithasblot (31 July - 1 August) - it's a harvest festival. I missed it in the regular updates, but I figured there'd be leftovers.
There are a couple of references to Norse mythology here which may be a bit obscure, so here's some educational background information:
Tanngrisnir is one of the goats that pulls Thor's chariot (the other one's called Tanngnjóstr). Thor can kill and eat these goats at any time, and then bless the remains with Mjollnir to restore the goats to full health so they can keep pulling the chariot. The goats do not, apparently, resent this.
Sif is Thor's wife. There's not much surviving lore about her except that she had golden hair and made good mead. Logically she's got to be pretty strong to be able to handle the Might of Thor (that's what he calls it). She's the mother of Thor's daughter, Thrúd, and of snow god Ullr from another father. In Marvel's 'Thor' comics she's a warrior of the Aesir, so let's go with that for this version, but also a good cook. Loki once shaved her head as a joke.
there are 2 posssibilities who Mo is. either Modi or Modgud.considering they refer to Mo as a HIM, its probably Modi, who is one of Thor's sons. hense the 'thank you' (wonder what he and his boether think of their dad giving away mjonir when they were suposed to inheret it xD

And I can't possibly comment on who 'Mo' is...
