FJERKLDGJIOERDJOI!!! THE KITTENS! THE /KITTENS/!

I remember when they got adopted out to other webcomics, I thought that was such the coolest thing~ Did there used to be a tighter knit in the webcomic community or am I nostalgia filtering? It probably dosn't help I don't read webcomics like I used to... But I remember actively reading through this arc, I loved it /so much/~

Well there was a board I was an active member on at the time, and most of the adoptive comics were from there.

I don't know if the webcomics community isn't as tightly knit as it used to be or if I just don't have as much time for message boards any more. I'd say the latter is probably more likely. I was in college and extremely single for much of the first run of NtK, and the strip itself didn't take nearly so long to draw, which left me with a lot of free time for forums and the like.

There was actually an extended crossover between Something Positive and Girls With Slingshots (Google 'em) a little while back, wherein the cat from SP got the cat from GWS pregnant. The kittens were adopted out to other comics, so at the very least there are elements of the webcomics community that are as tight as they used to be.

Really down to the specific comics. @NtKGar: Randy and Danielle tend to spend a fair amount of time interacting thanks to their con schedules at least, and S*P gained a character from Queen of Wands (Kestrel specifically). And then you get some webcomics where the author is such a dick (not indicating anyone specifically) nobody wants to have anything to do with them. Overall I think the majority of webcomic authors tend to have a friendly rivalry at worst though.

Dragoneers has a crossovers list that seems to be kept upto date that can help put into perspective how much different writers reference, or crossover directly with each other.

I remember once having to help my cat give birth. To make matters worse, I wasn't even 13 when it happened.
