She turned up during the missing scene (after a year of pestering from my girlfriend at the time, on whom the character is broadly based).
We've since broken up (also at the insistence of my girlfriend at the time :P), but the character's been around too long to be written out unnoticed, and hasn't completed a satisfying character arc yet, so she'll be around until her story's finished. I really should have learned not to write girlfriends into this thing after Cheryl. Ah well.
So yeah, in the comic, this relationship is doomed! Keep reading to find out what happens :D
