Maisy's actually calling Poe sweet
but doing it in few enough words that
the tender moment passes unnoticed.
This happens in families all the time.

So a lot of what we're doing in this story is setting up a whole bunch of World changes for the next story. We want the characters to be a bit more mobile, and what better way of doing that than giving Maisy an adorable little zeppelin to fly around in?

Some day we'll have plushies of everything.

I've been following a YouTube channel called Every Frame A Painting for the last while. It's really interesting, it's basically a film student dissecting bits of cinema, pointing out techniques and conventions, going into the history of certain common scenes and motifs. The videos are fairly short and very well-narrated and there's a decent breadth of subject matter covered. The one I'm going to link you to covers a cultural term I've used in the comic above which a lot of you probably understand but which may need some explanation for our international audience; What is Bayhem?

9-ball I have seen of a Magic 8-ball that does say maybe often. I found it in a joke shop in Washington State. I just called it the magic 9-ball.
