I've been playing quite a good game on Steam lately called Mark of the Ninja, in which you play a ninja with a special ninja tattoo that lets you ninj better but will gradually drive you insane. It's essentially a 2D puzzle platformer where you have to sneak around. You can fight your way out of a corner if you get spotted, but you're much more likely to just die, so stealth is the way to go. You get points for killing guards, but there's a bigger end-of-level bonus for trespassing your way through as peacefully as possible.

It's all done in a very beautiful comic-book style reminiscent of Penny Arcade about three years ago, and the animation on the ninja in particular are wonderfully smooth. The game's all about movement, and the ninja (whose name is NOT Mark) is a fluid and responsive avatar.

The game's laid out in such a way that you're rarely stuck for long, but you die enough that finishing a level feels like an achievement (and the cutscenes are acted and animated well enough to feel like a reward). It's fairly linear so far, but the challenge is in navigating the rooms rather than the map. I'm playing with an Xbox 360 controller and loving it.

Did I miss something? Since when does Neko have a pink nose? Is this something I am just now noticing? Or is that just a pimple?

He's always had a pink nose. It's usually outlined though, trying something different.

We all miss Baxter too. Especially when he's not in a haiku.

Who? Now I feel like an idiot. Who is Baxter?

@onewhitejade: Baxter was a character in Catharsis (the comic Rremly comes from, which adopted Aya in the mid-2000's). He was a grumpy narcissistic narcoleptic squirrel with occasional heroic tendencies.
