Just a reminder to our readers that this comic is not a reliable source of lifestyle advice.

Got a little notification from Steam just now saying my Dad is playing one of the games I got him. I added him to my friends list a little while ago, and like getting little notifications when he's online. It's a nice way of having him present. Anyway, after many notifications over the past few months that he was playing FarCry 3, I checked his profile and it said he'd put in over 200 hours.

Reckoning that to be a bit excessive, I got him some new games. I'm a big fan of Humble Bundle and they had a good deal on Square Enix games at the time. The mid-price bundle included Deus Ex: Human Revolution, and I recall he liked Invisible War back when I was still living with him, so went ahead and got him the gift codes.

I went to visit over the weekend and showed him how to use the activation codes. Turns out he hasn't been gaming much at all lately. The FarCry thing was just because he couldn't figure out how to sign out of the game and had decided to let it do whatever it wanted.

He's about 16 hours into Deus Ex so far. I suppose it must be nice to play a character who knows a goddamn thing about computers.

They're cats. I doubt "out" is in their dictionary.

...Yep, aya needs to be the next one to have kittens.

*Blink blink*

Oh my gosh, Aya has only three legs. Am I blind and Aya's ALWAYS had three legs, or am I just unobservant? WHAT HAPPENED?

Reply vlad (Guest), March 25th, 2015, 5:19 pm

if i remember correctly she got in an offscreen accident. however, how the heck is she running? it should be a major difficulty just to remain upright much less RUN!

ps. bummy bush on the last pannel?

Reply NtKGar, March 26th, 2015, 5:58 am

Aya lost her leg some time between the events of Catharsis and her reappearance in Neko the Kitty. Also, three-legged cats and dogs can get around just fine, and can indeed run.

Aliens? I think I see Bummy in the trees in the last panel, but it looks like there are also aliens taking off in their spaceship in the sixth panel.

My desktop So... this pic is currently my desktop, I know I dont own it but i always liked this particular frame and I figured I'd ask permission before I posted it anywhere else, i also just added the sig in the corner just in case.
(i cant help feeling like i'm doing this wrong, you can delete this if you want.)
I've followed the comic for a couple of years now and I love it and i'm glad you've kept it going.

@Ryno91: It's saying the image has been moved or deleted already.

Concerning the use of Neko the Kitty images: If it's for personal use like a desktop background or avatar, or just sharing a strip on your blog or somesuch, I'm generally happy about it (Moreso if people include a link back to nekothekitty.net as a courtesy). It's only if someone sells my work or uses it for marketing or promotion without there being a contract between us that I get persnickety.

Glad you've been following, the inks are done on the next page so it should be up tonight or tomorrow.

Reply vlad (Guest), March 31st, 2015, 1:16 pm

... inks? is that a name left over from the archaic days or are you actually drawing this BY HAND WITH REAL INK?

Reply NtKGar, April 1st, 2015, 6:02 am

Inks Colours are done digitally, but yeah, line art's good old fashioned pen and paper. Well, bristol board, which is more like card, but it's the same basic principle.

Reply vlad (Guest), April 1st, 2015, 6:53 am

why not digital? i would think it would make everything easier even if for no other reason than you being able to just drag and drop character poses into panels?

Reply NtKGar, April 1st, 2015, 7:46 am

It's just personal taste. I did the inking digitally for a while and went back to doing it the old-fashioned way because I like it better. Not exactly sure why, possibly something to do with having something I can hold in my hand when it's finished.

There's some digital manipulation to correct errors or thin out/thicken lines (in the above strip I fucked up Aya's whole head in the 6th panel, drew it again in some blank space and corrected it in Photoshop), but for the most part I just draw stuff.
