OK, so there's all sorts of magical shenanigans going on in the other storylines, but our title character's at home doing cat stuff, and that's the bass riff of the whole show.

Meanwhile, his hyperdimensional alternate self is pondering part of Alice's dialogue.

Between this post and the previous one, Sir Terry Pratchett passed away. I've mentioned his work several times in the blog and done a couple of references in the comic. Terry Pratchett is my favourite author, and it's fairly rare for me to have a solid favourite anything. A lot of the cobbled-together hodgepodge of ideas I use as a religion came from him. That's probably true for quite a lot of people.

A bunch of reports have mentioned his cat was in the bed with him when he died, and I find myself praying he knew that cat's name. Pratchett spent the last years of his life campaigning for the right to die. He wanted it to be Terry Pratchett that died, not some helpless vacant thing that wouldn't recognise the old friend he had written to so wonderfully for so many years. I sincerely hope he got that. I'm not actually praying *to* anyone, mind you. It's just a generalised sort of thing I do in case there are any gods listening in.

I hope he still had his potato.

Good ol' Neko, bringing it back down to the basics.

And yeah, sad about Mr. Pratchett. I feel like re-reading "Good Omens" now.

Terry Pratchet is my favorite author as well... There are still a lot of Discworld books I have not read, so at least I still have that to look forward to.

I like today's comic, BTW, I'm glad Neko can still be funny just doing cat stuff. I'm pondering over wether Neko is misinterpreting her words intentionally or if he just doesn't understand the sarcasm.

Takes me back to the old days when plot was called fanservice and the demon monster was just a cute little kitty
