The column of night is a callback for NtK cognoscenti. There's a story set in The Old Creepy Mansion (built by Sir Archibald Creepy in the eighteenth or nineteenth century, I forget which), which is a highly stylised part of Town. I started putting it in the background because it made absolutely no sense not to.

It's an extremely recognisable landmark which Keno and Murphy both know their way home from on foot. In the course of their adventures, they ended up back there twice.

I thought the kittens were born in Gar's coat on Halloween?

I should probably be focusing on the poems, but I can't help but notice that giant pillar of space in the background.

@Bushes? Conception is what happens way before birth. Google it :p

In short, Neko was a KEY part of the conception process

Actually Quite Heartfelt I feel so sad for Maisy. All she wants is to see her son again. :(

... Which is really weird given that she's a cat, but eh, details. :)

Can't you tell? It's that one creepy haunted house!

@SuperScratchkat: Oh yeah, I remember that now. xD
How silly of me, not to remember that.

wait it was in the apartment after 060 and before 061

Reply NtKGar, September 23rd, 2014, 1:59 am

That's only a continuity error if they only did it once!

I thought the kittens were conceived in the apartment...? Page 55? No?

Aww I've now read this a dozen times. It makes me smile in the saddest of ways...

I can't stop re-reading it

Conception The bushes would be where Neko and Maisy did the deed that lead to the kittens being born in the apartment
This is not shown within the comic because of Gar is adamant about not drawing any 'kitty porn,' which he mentioned in the comment section around that time

Magic Beefy's right, it's one of my policies to never actually *show* characters having sex.

Unless you're participating, sex tends to happen off-camera in real life. It's happening, you know it's happening, it happens quite a lot, but you're rarely witness to it. I'm not opposed to my characters having sex in whatever combination they like (and it's implied a LOT), but the idea of drawing it out makes me uncomfortable. Socially uncomfortable. It'd be like walking in on your friends.

There are erotic furry comics, some of them right here on SmackJeeves, but NtK isn't one of them.
