As of the time of writing this, I'm about halfway through the final season of Breaking Bad. I actually waited for it to end on TV before starting to watch it, and am reasonably sure I'm not alone in that. While I'm sure Breaking Bad was excellent as a serial, that's not what it is any more.

It's brilliant as a TV Novel.

It's no coincidence that all the Netflix original series coming out follow the same sort of format - each episode has its own story and ends in such a way as to drive anticipation for the next episode, but you can just dive right into the next chapter instead of waiting a week. It's the way I've always taken in fiction from books, so it's nice to have it for TV shows now.

Peer pressure is changing too. now it's "What? you don't know what Breaking Bad is? You got to watch it.... Nexflix... Nexflix.... Nexflix!!!!" When I was a kid, it was Pogs and cigarettes. Now it's Nexflix

So, the moral of the Ozzymandus' story is
"in the end no matter how magnificent and stunning your wonders and leadership may be, eventually all that will be remembered is a Colassal statue in a wasteland with a grave marker." I suppose it's better than a potters feild.
