Today, Cosmo the Quote Bunny is quoting 18th-century German physicist Georg Christoph Lichtenberg.

Got some batteries in 'Dealz' last week. It's a shop that sells assorted crap for €1.49. If you're not familiar with Dealz itself then you at least know somewhere like it. Anyway, picked up a pack of eight batteries for €1.49. Talk about false economy!

The old batteries on my camera had run out and I was going to a Halloween party on Saturday, so I put a pair of the new batteries in the camera before heading out.

They lasted four photos.

Went through the rest of the pack today, averaging two shots per battery change. Didn't manage to get a full sequence of shots for Understudy, and most of what I got turned out blurry (though there was a decent one of Aleister and Ollie together contemplating the shittiness of those batteries).

I've bought cheapass batteries before which have been fine. The ones I got said 'Sony' on the packaging, so ones where I didn't recognise the brand might have been a better choice. That or getting batteries from a shop that doesn't sell everything for €1.49.

in North Amercia, we have a store type called "Dollar Stores" Basically you spend a dollar to get a trinket, which is mostly crap, like you were mentioning. However it is a decent place to get something un-screw-up-able like a notepad....

Pens die easy
Batteries have minimal life
Food (oh yes, there is food) is bland and flavorless

As for the camera, you reminded me of those old time cameras that you needed to hold a case of bulbs as the flash would kill one bulb at a time.

oh and I don't get what's so special about this but first?

About Ollie & Aleister talking about the batteries, I love to see that one!

i take it that is Aleister in the above photos, as usual? :)

Where the photo's taken with beer googles on? As much as I'd rather be critical than correct, I'm not entirely sure I know what I'm looking at here.

Are we supposed to be looking at the tika tika monster from lost? Because, if it weren't for the direction of the foot in the second panel I'd swear I was staring at a cow's backside. And, don't even get me stated on the final panel. Bluh! indeed.

All truth is slightly distorted. What makes them indistinguishable from lies is the level of fantasy and reality testing.

@GabrielsThoughts: Your Mom's a cow's backside.

For us here in the States, it's Dollar Tree, Dollar General, other assorted names for the same thing... We did have a Deal$ near where I live, but that got replaced by a temporary Halloween Express store... Still not sure to this day if something ever officially took over... I usually have my nose in my 3DS whilst riding along...
