Ahoy, Nekolytes, hope you had a good weekend :)

Today's vote incentive is just another scat joke, which is of course an inherent danger of using a greek chorus as a comedic device, and must be borne with.

I don't think Keno has a competency drive. Hyperdrive, though...

Ah, yes, here comes a distraction!

hmmm Sometimes your comic makes me feel smart. but I must tip my mercury preserved hat to you for your bigger terms, my dear Sir Molloy, as used in the last pannel aren't terms I am familiar with. So you make my knowledge feel belittled.

Reply TheCatMolloy, May 7th, 2013, 11:33 pm

Knowledge is not belittled by the unknown, but embiggened. 'Scatological' means 'regarding poo' :-)

Also, as we're playing at Gentlemen I must elucidate that by addressing me as 'Sir Molloy', you have given me a title which my honour does not afford. 'Sir' is used *in place* of all other names and titles, except in the instance of knights. However I must commend you on your fine victorian haberdashery reference (reference:http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/haberdashery?s=t)

My education affords me the proper title of 'Master', which I seldom use because the prospect of becoming characterised as an evil Time Lord by my peers holds far too much allure.

scat went to vote on the site and the character i had to identify first was named scatter...coincidence..?...probably

Reply TheCatMolloy, May 8th, 2013, 3:36 am

I love it when the emerging intelligence of the internet demonstrates its own sense of humour.

Reply GabrielsThoughts, May 8th, 2013, 7:48 am

Scatological humor is as old as that pull my finger joke.

How is it people don't make the connection with poo when a majority of juvenile humor centered around it?

Reply VictorB, May 8th, 2013, 7:52 pm

@TheCatMolloy I graciously accept your education and add it to my repertoire of knowledgeable know-hows, my dear friend. However, might I point out that Master is the title for a young gentleman who has not come of age of marriage, as you have mentioned earlier was not the case for you. So to state that your educational value has earned you the title of Master is a grave error in positions.

Furthermore, I forgot to mention the unique features of my hat. You see my hat is mystical and wonderful. It is a hammer space of the splendorous and so I have marked it with a special marker. A blank playing card on which I have written, by the quill of a mocking bird, the fraction "19/88". Now I am asked why a fraction so often that instead of waiting for you to ask the common question, I shall save you the time, as I know how valuable every second on your time peace is, and let you in on the secret:

I wish for all my days to be fractious and wonderful.

But I digress as our small talk on haberdasheries and titles has taken us to a land far from that which your wonderful furry felines reside and I value so much their company.

I must appologize for such a rude and barbaric intrusion as to double post and refer once again to your last comment but I realize that it would be more rude of me not to thank you for a wonderful idea in which you have given me. I shall show you the idea such given once I have completed it's incarnation. Thank you, you are quite the Gentleman, regardless of your royalty status.

Reply magic_beefy, May 8th, 2013, 11:26 pm

Master is actually not for young men under the age of marriage, but instead for boys under 8 years old who are, in the 19th century, too young to work in society.
Though that is only using it as a form of address, there are many other ways to use it, but I'm not going to list them here since I don't want to type that much and Wikipedia is where I garnered that info anyway (so it's all there) :P

Reply VictorB, May 9th, 2013, 1:05 am

@Magic_Beefy I hate to be a thorn in the sacral dimple, however I remember until I turned 18, my medical report would classify me as Master Victor since I was too young to be Mister. The reason I mentioned marriage is only because I wanted to be more colourful than to say "Until you are an adult" and some areas in the world, you can be an adult without the rights to consume an alcoholic beverage.

Reply TheCatMolloy, May 9th, 2013, 1:38 am

I just thought it'd be funny to have my army of Nekolytes calling me 'master' and helping me take over the world.

Reply Tom (Guest), May 9th, 2013, 7:30 am

Kenolytes When will you make a keno advencha sticker available?

Thanks

Tom

Reply magic_beefy, May 9th, 2013, 8:53 am

@VictorB: well I'm only talking the 'official' usage for it, not the way you can use it since its possible to be used at any age, it is only proper (in the late 19th century at least) to use it to address a young boy under the age of 8, since times change usage can too (like calling a female friend dude despite the fact that dude means a male person)

OHHHH SNAP! Looks like I caught up with the most recent one. This is it! I've read every damn strip up until this point from the very first Neko the Kitty and they only get better as you go! :D Well done, Sir.

EDIT: 11 days since a post? O-O

He did say a little while ago that he's been struggling with writer's block, it must have finally caught up with him.

Reply TheCatMolloy, May 18th, 2013, 8:33 am

Pretty much, it's been a stressful week. There'll be a blog post about it with the next comic, which is finally coming out OK.

Reply sailoryue (Guest), May 18th, 2013, 11:15 pm

writer's block comes in so many forms. i can get it just from not thinking of a proper word for a sentance! when that happens, my muse table flips and walks off and i have to file the fanfic im writing for later :/

Reply VictorB, May 19th, 2013, 12:38 am

I must agree I always thought writers block was something you get when you want to write something, but can't figure out how to write it down. Like wanting to write a poem about your favorite Cat yet can't come up with the first sentance. But lately, I have been getting writer's block trying to figure out which story to tell first

Reply VictorB, May 20th, 2013, 1:06 am

WHAT IS HAPPENING!?!? sorry for the double post, but I wanted to make sure you get this question: What's happening to Neko The Kitty? It jumped from 16 to 22 in one day! (I am talking about the vote rating)I keep coming on to vote, but I can't even get you up to 21

Reply Wrong_Hombre (Guest), May 20th, 2013, 1:14 pm

hey Are ya dead?

Reply Connors, May 20th, 2013, 10:17 pm
