Neko the kitty His name means cat the kitty? In japanese, neko means cat...

I call it automatic preference. If you have it you're lucky. If you don't, then you have to build character in order to compensate for the people who think they're angels separating the wheat from the weeds.

fire Spontaneous Combustion Hotline: You were putting together a cat tower and it burst into flames, you say? Not to worry; I've seen worse. In fact, the last person I helped set fire to his bowl of cereal.

This is Unacceptable! Your magic photo license has expired, yet your picture frame is still constantly changing. This is a violation of our Terms of Service, and you must immediately revert back to static frames. Failure to do so will bring severe legal consequences.

@cyndaquazy

I really think wizards should become hip with the times, It's like they're trapped in the seventies.

It had a blue screen of death!

That would indicate it is a tablet or monitor of the windows persuasion, if not a digital photo frame. I bought one nearly a decade ago for $40 USD before they jacked the price up for stupid reasons.

Reply Yugure (Guest), March 28th, 2013, 8:17 pm

but but but but but but but.... the picture keeps changing.. (-'.'-)

Reply musici, March 28th, 2013, 8:18 pm

did anyone else see that the hanging photo changes each panel

Reply Zandermanith (Guest), March 28th, 2013, 9:07 pm

Spontaneous combustion The bane of anyone or thing's existence.
And also Musici, I think quite a few people noticed the magical image-swapping picture frame :P

Changing Photos Remember... thats the digital photo frame that wasnt working right a few comics ago until bummmy found the SD card for it.

Reply RJCold (Guest), March 28th, 2013, 11:20 pm

I like how the picture changes in every frame...

Heater Ya know it probably wasn't a smart idea to put that right next to a heater... epically one of those old metal ones. And what's a heater like that doing in a apartment I thought those kinds where only put into schools?

Reply ZeroFollower0, March 29th, 2013, 2:34 am

Real reason it caught flame. ... its was built next to the heater....

Horrible I feel like a horrible human and nekolyte only NOW catching up with the latest strip.

I believe it's because i became recently addicted to comics and can't keep up with all of them. Snafu-comics.com being a big help since it's multiple comics in one place. If you haven't heard of it i Highly Recommend it (Not putting Gar on the spot in any way. P.S. HAPPY SUPER BELATED BIRTHDAY!! =O That Rhymed!!!)

Reply TheCatMolloy, March 30th, 2013, 2:32 am

And a happy super belated birthday to you too!

Neko the Kitty hasn't been invite to snafu comics, the roster there is pretty full. It's kind ofinteresting to see webcomics syndicates like this cropping up, though. All the snafu comics seem to be hosted on the same site, which is an evolution of the old webring concept. Not sure what this does for each artist's advertising take, but it's a good way to drive up everyone's audience. Katbox does something similar :)

Reply GabrielsThoughts, March 30th, 2013, 2:58 am

Gar, I'm going to be honest with you. I've never heard about an advertising take from hosting free web comics, but it occurs to me you want to drive up revenue.

Would I be correct in assuming you are always on a quest in pursuit of the all mighty dollar?

Reply nekonian (Guest), March 30th, 2013, 9:26 pm

Blarg OK, I'm always one for spontaneous combustion, but blarg?

Reply TheCatMolloy, March 31st, 2013, 8:23 am

@GabrielsThoughts: The only free web comic I know of that's in any way popular and DOESN'T make money from advertising is Penny Arcade, and that's a fairly recent development.

Reply GDA (Guest), March 31st, 2013, 8:31 am

Not even comic related... sort of. Keno should have his own spinoff series! That way, we could have more Neko, and we'd still see as much Keno as we want!
Because Keno cracks me up, but the comic is named after Neko and thus must have a lot of Neko as well, who is also funny.

Reply AshFisher, March 31st, 2013, 4:48 pm

It catches fire! lol. As for the changing picture, this is not the only time it has done this in the comic -_-

Reply wizorage (Guest), April 1st, 2013, 1:02 am

wasn't there a picture on the wall above the heater in the last couple strips?

Reply Niflare (Guest), April 1st, 2013, 8:17 am

Heater picture Well Qiz, it was a picture of a bummy, and since they brought bummy lamp back into focus with this strip, he probably didnt feel the need for the picture.
