Decided to step away from the digital materials for this one. The line art for this is done in biro (which is what we call the standard office ball point pens here in Ireland).
The standard Bic office pen has actually always been my favourite drawing tool. Not sure if that's because I grew up drawing in the margins of my schoolwork and got used to it, or because the basic biro is a versatile and easy-to handle drawing implement, but it's what I think of when I think "pen".
A quick Google Image search for 'Ball Point Pen Art' suggests that there's more than nostalgia and a low price tag to recommend the biro itself as a well-engineered and trustworthy little device. It's easy to control flow and the line builds well. It's not as versatile as digital inking, but you get a tangible piece of art at the end.
The colour was done in Crayola coloring pencils and the balloons and dialogue were added digitally.
Props for Referencing Calvin and Hobbes. (up thumb)
DOMOKUN is not just a spaceman spiff knock off, he's a kitten killer and mascot of Target stores everywhere.
Neko, thanks to your senseless act of violence there is now more joy in the world, and scarcity conscious media will now hate you as much as the ASPCA and their affiliates.
It helps if you use multiple tools like crayons and colored pencil, cleaning it up with the computer is always a nice touch, too bad you missed a fill.
Corrections and funny
Agen it was Maisy and Neko that decided to do it and thus Keno and company was born hehe. I can't remember the number either DX, but you gotta admit that this comic was funny and originally done ^_^ nothing like having crayons, colored pencils, and or markers.
