great page! I really enjoyed the silhouettes in this section it really looks fancy :p
So what did you guys dress up for Halloween ^_^

Thoughts and thoughts haha Murphy talking to Death and Keno already bored...Love it! Keno is always looking for awesome adventures. I think someone should dress up as Keno, Murphy, Maisy, and Neko for Halloween it would be so cute!

There is also the possibility that death is not really death but an in game character or the janitor.

As for yesterday's post: Interesting. Good enough, I'm not disappointed!

It took me a few minutes to crop this to size, and then the original png of the comic was too large for the filesize restrictions, high quality jpg, just a hair over. Shrunk it down like 25pixels on either side, PERFECT.

I'm really liking where this is going. I mean death, just randomly appearing and being like "hey, you know how in comics you can do whatever you want? don't." Is fun. It's like, if I wanted anyone to break the fourth wall in a comic, it'd be death. Or Neko. Or McJefferstein. ok, revision, your characters. The art too is just blowing my mind. I never thought silhouettes could tell a story well, much less convey so much.

Flower (@RaeofSunshine) If you look at the last series of Death, you do see a new flowing is growing in it's place, with a spot of green of the side of the scythe.

@RaeofSunshine: I went to our party as Ollie (our understudy Aleister's sister) and Gar, well, his costume was so brilliant I'll let him tell you about it :)

How 'bout you guys, anyone dress up for Halloween/Halloween parties?

Reply Tiddly Dee (Guest), October 30th, 2012, 12:16 am

Why are you all asking what people did for Halloween when it hasn't been Halloween yet? October 31st is Halloween.

Reply NtKGar, October 30th, 2012, 3:57 am

Yes, but if Halloween falls on a weekday it's common practice amongst adults to celebrate on the Saturday before. Getting dressed up and going out drinking in the middle of the week (or at least turning up to work hung over on a Thursday) is deemed "unprofessional". (Our younger readers have probably never experienced a hangover: it's like having the flu only nobody feels sorry for you.)

Anyway, I was pretty proud of my costume. I had a one-piece monkey costume which I wore over a t-shirt with the classic Spider-Man costume pattern.

I was a spider monkey.

The exception being in places like Nevada where they like to have five day halloween celebrations like the Bacchanal and everyone is given a day of rest to dry out.

The local news even tells motorists which intersections to avoid because of speed traps and sobriety tests. Although, I must admit I don't often see children at these celebrations.

i dont thinks thats actually death but i dont wanna say who i think it is it may spoil it for others

Reply Guest, October 30th, 2012, 3:06 pm

Meh, our halloween got postponed til November this year.

Reply Licourtrix, October 30th, 2012, 3:39 pm

spider monkey! an..ingenious idea. I'd have stuck with Jesus. Or you could dress up as comic-gar and self-promote...that might come across too pompous though.

I haven't had the time for Halloween parties in years, but that's good, because the last one I went to someone spiked the punch with enough whiskey so that it was...vaguely punch flavored whiskey with dry ice in it and could be used as jet fuel in a pinch.

I don't Celebrate Halloween because my mom doesn't believe in it and is being a dick about it, Sadly ruining all of the fun for me and being stuck in my house doing ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!!,while all my other friends dress up and have fun..... It sucks... =3 =(

Reply GabrielsThoughts, October 31st, 2012, 12:59 am

Then Celebrate Nevada Day... Just take the day off entirely.

Also, I should mention that costume parties are overrated, there's karaoke, and haunted houses, that's about it. you really aren't missing out on anything special.

Think of it like this, you can play dress up and act the fool when you become an actor or actress without any social consequences.

I'm sure you're mom has her reasons, not to mention the threat of being turned into a candy starved zombie.

Ah, 'tis one of the nice things about being pagan, Halloween is a sure thing for me! Heh, I'll probably be dressed up with my kids (should someone ever somehow convince me to have them) Trick-or-Treating right alongside them! And somehow I can see Gar doing the same, then we can all fight over the candy when we get home. Ah family.

Reply Licourtrix, October 31st, 2012, 7:28 am

Ah candy. I no longer go through the whole pretense, if I can afford it now, I just go buy and eat a whole bag of candy. Makes me feel like McJefferstein every time.

Reply NtKGar, October 31st, 2012, 11:23 am

Oh sure, you can just buy a giant bag of candy and eat it all yourself at any time, but you don't feel quite so self-conscious doing it around halloween.

Reply avampireskiss, October 31st, 2012, 5:20 pm

Okay, I feel better now... I love karaoke! But unfortunately for me, today I broke out with a sudden, painful sore throat and a headache. Today just isn't my day.

Terry Pratchett is amazing This scene reminds me of Discworld, Death was always a great character in those books...

And he did occasionally have to deal with things that were messing up the order of the world/universe.

That's not how Shakespeare wrote! Oh Bill, what have they done to you?

Catching up Finally catching up to some of the more recent comments.
I love a lot of the subtle things you did with Death, the omega symbol was pretty cool but my favorite would be the flower, highlighting the fact that death isn't simply an end but a pervading thing throughout the cycle of life.
