Don't take this the wrong way,
Have you ever considered marketing Neko the Kitty to fetish magazines like "Skin Two?" I'm almost positive that NTK could easily become as successful as Penny Arcade was for Playstation enthusiasts.
awsome
how do i get a picture next to my comments?...anyway awsome move gar! @GAR i think you need a)a blog b) i comic to look over all your comics from that i could co aouthor?
Picture!
@tails83: You have to go into your profile and scroll to the bottom. You'll see something about a picture and browsing. Find a pic on your computer. It can't exceed a certain amount of pixels and it can't be larger than 125X125, but it's not as hard to find as it sounds.
booyah!
best kick ever xD and he did learn something, always go for the groin when dealing with super villans :3 (its thier greatest weakness, except girl villans then...your screwed xD)
BWAHAHAHA!!!!!!
Aheh..heh...heh..heeeeeeeee.....
While I freely admit to being under the influence of a new medication which is making me feel pretty loopy, this is funny as hell!
@tails83: We're not looking for co-authors at the moment. If you're just offering to do a blog, go nuts. People talk in the comments, it doesn't have to stay on topic.
@Cerberus: While Nietzsche is famously associated with the term 'Superman', he had relatively little to say on the topic of groins.
Questions
@NtKGar: Do you ever look back at the first Neko strip and think, "Wow, I had no idea it would become as big/longlasting as it has"? Or at the time of that first strip did you think it would develop as much as it did or that you'd love doing it so much? I mean, I'm pretty sure you just started for something to do, but I was kinda wondering when you realized you loved doing Neko enough to decide you didn't want to quit.
@RoboKitty: Probably after the second time I quit :P
If you check the dates in the archive, I stopped from May 2005 to December 2005, then came back to it with the hospital storyline. I was still kind of burned out from doing my Master's degree and having my most horrible relationship ever, so my heart wasn't really in it at the time. Updates were sporadic in 2006-2007, less than twice a week usually, and stopped again in June 2007.
I wasn't ready to start again properly until October 2008, when my girlfriend at the time encouraged me to pick up the pen again. Originally it was two days a week in black-and-white (tuesdays and thursdays), but after a while I upped production to three days a week. A while after that I got a wacom tablet and better art programs, and started doing comics three-days a week in full colour.
Basically, I realised how much I had missed doing comics. I'll forever be grateful to my ex for encouraging me to start up again.
It's actually only recently that the notion I could maybe make some money doing this has entered my head with any real traction. I've been strictly a hobbyist for years, so people wondering where the book is and getting tattoos and stuff is new and awesome.

Oh, at work, yeah that's for the best. Online fetish magazines may be fun, but can still have unfortunate implications in this day and age.
