Yep, that's the United Federation of Planets charter. Fairly close to the United Nations charter actually, so it's nice that people are idealistic.

For some reason I can't help but imagine Picard meeting a new race and then suddenly giving them a kick to the genitals. A very diplomatic kick to the genitals.

I read somewhere that having a friend can alter brain chemestry...or was that a movie. Yes, I whole heartedly agree. It is important not to misrepresent the intentions of any sentient life form as long as it expresses its opinions or feelings in any positive way. Additionally, expressing negative feelings or emotions is only acceptable if it isn't a form of abuse that causes irrepairable harm or damage to another individual. "Things," on the other hand, are fragile and no amount of wishful thinking will make a broken clock work more than twice a day.

That said, I'm grateful there is always a difference between the truth and what happened. I'm also grateful I have the right to censor my thoughts or actions. Whilst, simultaneously, having the power to de-pants the other guy and reveal the naked truth... speaking of which they really need to put ice on that testicle because that usually hurts worse than a broken ankle.

The Neko that appears under the comic isn't normally part of the action within the comic, he's just there to provide commentary. It's basically an extra comic to go with the comic :)

I have really been enjoying the little Neko comments added to the comics. I've kinda lost interest in this specific story line in the comic world personally, but Neko's little comments keeps me reading and entertained.

@gothpunkboy: Without the strip as a whole, the Neko at the bottom would make absolutely no sense. I personally like the whole thing.

Aren't the people in red the ones who usually die in star treck? In a similar way to how a dinosaur or large monster's eyesight is based off of who is expendable.

Red Shirts Red shirts only died in the Original Star Trek (the one with Kirk) and I'm pretty sure that is a Next Gen uniform like the one Picard wears
