Is it just me, or is keno on the roof?

cuz if he isn't... Splattered kitty bits in the next issue are a possibility.

Owait, magic ceilings. OF COURSE!

wow i do belive i see keno licking a saw blade in the third panel and whats with the red rock under my angry claws guy?

Reply RazorD9, December 14th, 2011, 9:20 pm

Keno and Freduardo. I shall ship that and call it buzzclaw.

Reply GabrielsThoughts, December 14th, 2011, 11:31 pm

Gift of the magi Keno sacrificed his whiskers to mark the buzz saw with his scent...now everyone who survives the saw will be his property.

ok, for some strange reason, i keep imagining poes voice to sound like nibblers when he talks >.> (futurama nibbler FYI)

Reply NtKGar, December 15th, 2011, 8:25 am

If you mean Nibbler's dramatic baritone when he's speaking as opposed to the weird little chittering noises he makes most of the time, that's actually pretty close to how I imagine Poe speaking as well :)

Probably my biggest snowball's-chance-in-hell ambition for NtK is to have it turned into an animated series. I'd be interested to hear who the readers would cast and why.

Casting for NTK Morgen Freemen for Neko
Whoopi Goldberg for Maisy
And Jeff Dunham as Peanut for Keno

Reply NtKGar, December 15th, 2011, 2:33 pm

Not sure about Morgan Freeman for Neko, but I can actually kind of hear Whoopi Goldberg voicing Maisy.

I wouldn't abandon that dream, have you seen what kind of cartoons people will put on TV these days? Talking happy meals and metal-rock stars killing random monsters?

NtK easily wrecks half of em.

Interesting. Christopher Walken as Neko the Kitty... Maybe Nicholas Cage as Murphy and Drew Barrymore for Maisy. Of course I would expect the infamous Tom Green to play Gar, because that guy can make anything funny...except horses. Then, just round out the rest of the cast with talented actors and keep at least two producer's Kids employed and out of trouble long enough for the show to stay on the air for a few years. Movie wise I'd ask for the same cast.

Reply NtKGar, December 16th, 2011, 7:23 am

Nicholas Cage isn't someone I'd have even considered for Murphy, but now that you mention it, yeah, the voice is a pretty good fit.

@Tex: I haven't seen much of Aqua Teen Hunger Force, but I do really like Metalocalypse, so I'll take that as high praise :)

T.V. Show and Philosophical Keno I would watch a Neko the Kitty animated series religiously! That would be amazing!

As for voices: I think Drew Barrymore would be good for Maisy. I'm not sure about Neko, but it seems like a kid or something should do Keno. I always imagine him having a kid voice. Except for when he is being philosophical.

By the way, speaking of philosophical Keno: When did he go from smart, poetic, and deep to acting like he doesn't have hardly any brain cells? I didn't know if you were doing it on purpose and Keno was just going through a phase or something, but I miss his deep thoughts and poems about random things like styrofoam, so I figured I would bring this up.

Keno plays a lot dumber than he actually is. Remember the bit with the honky horn? He's cute, it's a strength he plays a lot, and he uses it to hide his other strengths.

And as for poetry, well...I'm working on something at the moment.

Reply IgnusBartel, December 16th, 2011, 11:53 am

Am I the only one to notice that the 'hominid' has pupils in the first panel, but not the rest?

Also, I miss when Keno was acting smarter, and could outwit Neko. But that's just me.

Reply eloundra, December 17th, 2011, 10:28 pm

yeah, i did mean the deep baritone, thats what it is when he ACTUALLY talks instead of the jibbering, and if NtK did become a show, i would watch it :3

Reply NtKGar, December 18th, 2011, 9:40 am

I think Bruce Campbell would be a really good Neko.

Reply Pumpkindacat, December 27th, 2011, 10:37 pm

Neko is adowrable!

I don't know the voice actor, but when I think of Poe I think of the guy that did the voice of the Chesire(sp?) cat in Alice in Wonderland; Madness Returns.

Reply FlickerFly (Guest), September 6th, 2012, 5:41 am

Poe totally reminds me of mew in the second panel. I mean, look at him.

I think Alan Tudyk would be a good voice for neko. Ooh and Tara Strongs voice on ghostbusters for maisy.
