So Keith and I were talking over the weekend, and he's decided to step down as co-writer so that he can focus on his college course (and so we don't spend the whole time talking about Neko when we're hanging out). He'll make his own announcement shortly :)
I like to think that it really IS Batman. . .and the Joker is finally getting what's coming to him!
But in the interests of avoiding copy-right infringement, I concur that it is Batman-esque and not really Batman. No matter how much I want it to be. Nya!
@RoboKitty: Paige has stepped up from editor to co-writer (hence the change in the by-line at the bottom of the comic). Off to a promising start so far, I think :)
@tails83: Paige is the new co-writer. I'm looking forward to working with her :) She's more a prose writer, so there's going to be a bit of a learning curve where we figure out how to make comics together, but I work better with a partner and think she's going to bring a lot to NtK.
Keith's got a very heavy workload in college, but he'll pop up from time to time with his own inexplicably charming brand of audience antagonisation, and the occasional film or video game review. There's also a 'special guest' slot left open for him on the writing team, he just can't fit his schedule around regular script & revision meetings any more.
i dont know exactly when kieth started co writing this, but i HAVE noticed that as time passes, the comics have been released more and more frequently and the attitude of the stories have gotten more whimsical and lighthearted. im guessing this is at least partly due to his influence.
as such, its a shame to see him go :(
Kieth, i hope your still planning on dropping into the comments regularly; reading you and gar's witty banter is sometimes as fun as reading the comics itself.
good luck with school.
PS: congrats Gar and Paige on your engagement. do you have any big plans for the ceremony?
I've been using this handle for so long (pronounced N-eye-ah, short for Nyathearai), that I tend to forget that those three little letters have other meanings. Spent a few shocked moments just now, wondering why Paige had shouted at me two years ago. xD Herp de derp derp!! >.>;
