Ralph Wiggum for World President?
So it seems like Ralph Wiggum is everywhere lately. Or maybe it's just me. . .But friends have been posting on Facebook about him, people are singing about him, and I've been seeing a lot of him in the Simpsons reruns lately. I'd like to think I don't have some sort of disturbing obsession with the character, but I have to admit I'm starting to see the real charm of this little guy.
Ralph is special, yeah, in the short bus kind of way, but really when you think about it, he has a unique and fairly refreshing outlook on life. . .innocent, blissfully ignorant, a quiet joy that most of us would never understand.
Sure he's a total dummard but really, who amongst us wouldn't give their left nut to live in Ralph's world for just a few precious moments.
OK, looks like Team Neko is blogging for this one. I'll pitch in seeing as there's a guest post below that people may have an opinion on.
Because of the way SmackJeeves floats author comments to the top of the comments list, the post below this will be the fourth comment people will read (people who read the comments, anyway). I find that slightly schadenfreudelicious.
There was a discussion about 'Firsting' (checking for typos, yup, remembered the 'R') on <ahref="http://www.webcomics.com/">Webcomics.com recently. It's not something I've ever really paid much attention to, but apparently 'First' posts are something of a problem for a couple of cartoonists.
I'm actually not really sure why they're a problem. Sure, they don't contribute a whole lot to conversation, but at worst it's mildly irritating. It's a fairly mild form of trolling. Take a benevolent view of humanity and it's even kinda cute, I used to race my brother up the stairs all the time when I was a kid.
People taking whatever pride they get in having the first post means we've got a good active community going on here. If people want to play silly little games we're not going to police the playground too heavily.
That said, first meaningful post that starts a conversation is much better than first absolute post that doesn't.
I totally agree with that keith
Every single boss battle in that game was complete assholery to anyone who'd been going down the non-lethal stealth route, but my personal worst was definitely that woman in Elizas room, there is hardly anything lying around to throw at her, and i still by this point had no weapons which could do more than make her a little dizzy for a few seconds, hell, even when she was stunned takedowns dont work, somehow she miraculously un-stuns herself o_O...and then there's the third boss...Namir...almost worse...especially if you get the 'fixed' biochip...not only did i only have stealth based augmentations with next to no offensive augs, they get taken away from you as well, so you just get left scrambling around the room trying not to get insta-killed by his plasma rifle, while i just had a tranq rifle, stun gun, and a double barrel with no ammo...yeah there were weapons lying around, but without the aim stabilizer youd think Jensen was holding a squabling chicken with how poor his aim can be o_O
I'm Gar and I smell like doodie! Dooper doodly doo!!
{EDIT: Keith has apparently figured out my password from that time I told him my password. That wasn't me, but god damn if he didn't capture my voice elegantly. Kudos, old chum. Kudos.)
Splendabulous
Keith, you just made my day.
I laughed my ass off seeing "Gar's" Comment.
Good to know the silliest kind of active internet-hunor still exists.
