Only criticism is that the "shiny" is a little obscured, but otherwise I love the change in Scientits Neko's expression in the second panel, and the way the sparklies start there :)
"Your days of meddling with life, death and citrus are at an end Dr Bummystein!"
"My creation! It's alive!"
"Master!"
IT'S FRANKENBUMMY!!!-Oooh! SHINY!!!
@the watcher: You should create a SmackJeeves account, I'll draw you an avatar. Send a photo, doodle, or description.
That's actually a pretty good warm-up exercise, so if anyone else wants a custom avatar just send me a message. If everyone starts using them then the unified art style will mean the comments will start to look a bit like a second comic.
I know i havent posted in a while, but i just have to say it, DAMN i love this comic ^_^
And i'll take one of those custom avas Gar, anything evil, yet amusing will do, just let your imagination run wild ^_^
Draw me a Neko, and tell me where you want him. I would be honored to wear him for life as ink lol. Very epic comic, I'm very glad I follow it for instant, and often lasting laughs.
the Schrodinger's cat paradox outlines a situation in which a cat in a box must be considered simultaneously alive and dead. Schrodinger created this paradox as a justification for killing cats
@Fact Core: I think we should all just be glad Schrodinger never successfully used the technology to create an army of teleporting quantum zombies.
@NikitaCougar: Apparently white hurts more than other colours for tattoos, so that's something to consider if you really want a Neko.
I'm not opposed to anyone getting a tattoo of one of the NtK characters (I consider it an honour), but I encourage anyone considering getting any tattoo to ask themselves the same question: Will you still think it's cool in ten years time?
Now I know Neko & co. are frickin' adorable even if you haven't heard of the comic, and the clean lines lend themselves well to tattoos, but I'm also well aware it's a far easier thing for me to draw a cute Neko than it is for someone to have it emblazoned on their skin.
Anyway, if you've thought about it and really want a Neko tattoo, you'll have to be more specific in the design request. Where's the tattoo going? Should he be drawn stretched out or more compact? Is the character going to be wrapping around a limb/draped over a shoulder, or on a flatter plane? How big should the design be? Should he be sitting/standing/standing on two legs/lying down? Should the pink paw pads be visible? Should he look happy/angry/quizzical/bemused/flatulent? Do you want him wearing a costume or playing with any particular object?
I'm happy to sketch out designs. It doesn't take me very long to draw a Neko, and if someone likes the comic enough to get a tattoo then I want to make sure they get the tattoo they want.
@Gar: I never thought about cool when getting Keno. I think once you get a cute lil kitty on your body your adorable rating goes through the roof but you lose all your "cool" points. :P
@NikitaCougar: I love love LOVE my Keno tattoo, but if you get a Neko tat be prepared to explain about the comic! Whenever I have occasion to be bare-legged in public there is always at least one person who will ask about the tattoo. On the other hand, it's great advertising the comic. . .I'm thinking about billing Gar for leg exposure time ;)
@Enochia: Well in that case you're going to have to get the copyright information done on there as well :P
Probably just the nekothekitty.net URL would do. It's not as good a site as the SmackJeeves site at the moment, but once I get it re-done I can start having that as the 'main' site again. The two URLs would be a bit cumbersome.
@ Gar: Hmmm, do I have to get your signature too? I mean the copyright thing would be hard enough to explain to guys I'm trying to pick up, I think your signature too would kill my chances completely! And how much would you pay me to wear the copyright info? :P
